Native California pianist/singer songwriter Maya Carina has been classically trained from the age of 4.  She began playing and singing at local coffee shops,

community weddings and special events, concerts, and competitions,

and received a degree in Biochemistry and Piano Pedegogy from Cal State Humboldt

After wroking as a reseach chemists at Amgen, 

she then landed a record deal in los Angeles where she used her classical and Jazz background

to write and record her own originals while performing in Southern California

Maya's is passionate about helping others harness the healing power of music

It's a testament to the idea that finding one's sound, voice, and words can be a profound source of  empowerment.

Maya has been teaching one on one lessons and group songwriting sessions for over 25 years.  

She has inspired kids and adults to develop their talents from young ages through college and beyond.
